Race 1 – LEADERSHIP SPILL was heavily backed here and rightly so. Controlled the race and kicked. Simply too well placed under the circumstances. The horse to follow from this is quite clearly the stablemate in CHICO MILAGRO. Didn't begin well by 3-4L and came 3 wide with no cart up to finish very fast into 3rd. Clearly this bloke is going to be better suited over 1200m.

Race 2 – Rarely a horse wins like MIAMI FLEISS did on debut. Second start straight to a Saturday race over 1200m. Once she pinged out and it was all over. She went a little hard within herself, ran time and wasn't asked for much late. Serious horse.

Race 3 – AZZAREACH had his chance here in front. BI TURBO was only having his second start and also had his chance. Convinced he is better than that and will get some sort of headgear for his next run. The winner BOOM SPENDER was perfectly ridden and in hindsight started over the odds.

Race 4 – GLORIOUS RUBY has been gifted 2 races now. Perfect run here in comparison to HAMLET VON SNITZEL who was caught wide and was restrained to stay wide nonsensically and BETTER OFF who looked to be restrained and took a bit to get into stride. Both finished off well considering. Just want to mention GEMELON BOLT who was on debut here. No trial since OCTOBER and he sat outside the leader here who had won 2/2 before today. He can surely improve and be competitive again in a similar race soon.

Race 5 – ZOULOU DANCER was slow early here which cooked her chances. SCOTTISH MIST on the other hand was fast away and won well considering it looked to be in the inferior section closer to the fence. GOOD CHAT had his chance to win. He is making a habit of finding one or two better.

Race 6 – This was a dawdle fest and it produced one of the better runs on the day under the circumstances. ERRINGHI SPRING jumped well but was restrained for the first 300m to slot in. Not ideal with the tempo. Ran home very strongly. This mare was only 2nd up here and was also good in the worst part of the track 1st up so she should be going close 3rd up if placed well.

Race 7 – Steph Thornton went hell for leather here on ASHMAN and set the race up for SOCIALISING. PHANTOM FALCON stuck on admirably. Just want to mention although he was suited to run on VICTORY EIGHT was strong late and strong past the post. He isn't a Doomben horse for mine and looks ready for a mile now on a big track possibly at home.

Race 8 – Just a quick comment on the betting here. No idea why and how BEAUFORT PARK started favourite here. Loved the run of MANGIONE here. He ran really well 1st up and has been poorly placed since. He looks ready to go next start possibly over 1800m which looks to be his pet trip.

Race 9 – GARIBALDI continued his irresistible form here burying this lot. A horse to follow from this could be ELIXIR. He was 3 wide no cover here and battled on well for 4th. He's a consistent horse so he can go close in a similar race soon with a better run minus the likes of GARIBALDI.
