Race 1 – This was a nothing race where the leader had a picnic. Nothing impressive going here.

Race 2 – DEVINE GREY continued her winning form here being handed the lead. She was always going to be hard to beat from this position with her turn of foot.

Race 3 – QUALITY APPROACH revelled dropping in grade here up to the mile getting the box seat run. Sharp turn of foot when clear and he was too good for this lot. Has won up to 2300m this bloke but I think around a mile to 1800m will be his pet distance. Can improve and win again off this effort 2nd up.

Race 4 – Is there a horse going better in QLD at the moment than LIGULATE? He ticked the 1800m box here with ease. He just does everything right this big boy. Superb turn of foot which is handy when you get up to 1800m and beyond.

Race 5 – Fastest tempo of the day and the cream rose to the top here in TESARC just holding off GENZAI THE WOLF with 3.5L back to 3rd. Both horses were tremendously suited by the tempo so happy to look around this form going forward.

Race 6 – Good win here by YOU MAKE ME SMILE. Amazingly started double figures on the exchange. Just a fast horse who can quicken and is hard to run down when he is at his best. 1200m First up and then again 2nd up wasn't ideal for the favourite SHE ZA BOSS here and she went enormous. She is the main horse to follow from this meeting as 3rd up stepping up to 1300m-1400m she will be extremely hard to beat.

Race 7 – INGEAR rolled as favourite for the 4th time in her career here. Had every possible chance and was just beaten by a fitter horse with more desire in CHIVARGO.

Race 8 – NICCI'S SPIRIT looked a little disappointing on face value here. Not convinced she enjoyed the Eagle Farm surface so back to Doomben I would definitely give her another chance. CALM SEEKER was 1st up here, missed the started, came wide and was strong through the line.

Race 9 – MADDI ROCKS was a great lead up run into this but 1400m on a big track was a solid query for her here and she was just beaten by the tempo and position in run here. Happy to follow her back in distance next start. Old mate FISTICUFFS struck again here. He had the map advantage over Maddi and should have won. Rodd tried to get him to the outside and all he wanted to do was be difficult and lay in. Rodd eventually stopped persisting and went back to the inside but it was too late.
