Friday night tips at The Valley and Canterbury

THERACECLUB.com.au analysts have put forward a pair of best bets for Friday night racing.

Let’s try to set up the weekend ahead with a couple of winners in Melbourne and Sydney.

At The Valley in Race 6 (9:00pm AEDT), Intueri (No.5) lobs as the best from Mick Sharkie.

“Intueri and Michael Poy can control the speed here without much pressure at all really - most of their opposition like to balance up and finish their races off,” Sharkie said.

“The switch of stable from NSW to VIC worked beautifully last start at this venue and he looked very comfortable around the Valley bends. He's really well placed in this race to repeat the dose.”

The Team Hawkes-trained five-year-old gelding is currently at around $2.50.

At Canterbury, Tony Lorch (aka ‘King’) likes Miss Que (No.4) in Race 7 (9:15pm AEDT).

“If any sort of pace early and she can get into a slot from her sticky gate, then she is the one they all have to hold out,” said Lorch.

“She has run good races in Saturday grade, has excellent first-up form, as well as strong form at the track and distance.

“Just need her to get a half decent steer from the young Sam Weatherley.”

The Kris Lees-trained five-year-old mare is currently at around $3.90.
