The Sultan's Rosehill Review May 16

Race 1

Again, LORD DESANIMAUX has run a R F L200m split. The big Grey was awesome from the rear taking inside runs and he’s well and truly ready to win at 1800m+. LEG WORK slowly away was costly.

Race 2

Not much to report on here. HARPO MARX is a bit of a money muncher it seems. WILD IMPACT was disappointing. Nothing in the stewards other than they will ride her cold next start.

Race 3

This is a good Filly MACROURA. She has zoomed home in a clear R F L6/4/200m split and done so up in the weights. Winners win and she is a winner. If you backed CROSS THE RUBICON, I’d be forgiving. Caught wide and over raced.

Race 4

Class prevailed with DAWN PASSAGE, but I was very impressed with the Filly AIR TO AIR. We were with her LS to break her Mdn over 1600m and she thumped them. Back in trip/way up in class in this and she’s run home in the R F L6/4/200m splits!

Race 5

ADELONG too good and a clear example of the risk of backmarker Vs on pacer. BROKEN ARROWS was back and caught up behind runners, but once out he really attacked the line. Loved his trials. Follow this prep.

Race 7

FITUESE… What a star! She has come back in brilliant order! Ran her 4-200m & L200m splits both in sub 11! That’s humming! That suggests the step to 1200m will be no issue, and in on a lightweight in a Stradbroke, who knows. Sky's the limit, very good horse. Nice return from AQUITAINE

Race 8

Tough race to assess, but ROMANI GIRL looks like one that can go on to win a race up in trip. She was good and gave this lot fitness.

Race 9

DIRTY WORK is flying! Not sure how much is left in him this prep, but he ran well deep into the prep last time in work, so maybe he has another one left in him yet. He got the gun run to end all guns runs, but put them away with style. BON AMIS was good fresh carrying weight.
