MALKOVICH defied a big drift and showed his class. Didn’t handle the Heavy LS, but the improving Soft6 proved fine. DAWN TOO GOOD raced very keen, needs to find a race where he can lead. Not sure MOTOWATAKPE has come up this prep. FROZEN IN TIME very strong late off a freshen, may be looking for 1200m now.

PINNACLE PRINCE did what good horses do, and that’s win when challenged. PORTUGUESE TART at $81 running him to 0.5L doesn;t exactly read well, but she was 3rd up for a new yard, a LS winner and does have a narrow 3rd to Yamazaki on her form card. TORO TORO was very good. Not easy to lead inside a line of three and he stuck on well. Can go again.

ZING was very well rated up front and peaked 3rd up, strong win. LANDO BAY a big improver back in trip after excuses LS. Back up to 18-2000m will be his go. CHATEAUX PARK was on the quick back up, but he was the only horse to break 35sec for their L600m and was way up in class. Franked the Sky Lab form, CP can win again this prep. Tempo against FIFTEEN ARIA and held up slightly before changing course. Wouldn’t sack off that, good effort at start two.

ALL TIME LEGEND swooped all over them fresh, then led them up here 2nd up. Tactical versatility is an outstanding asset in a race horse. This race, however, is all about SUBEDAR. 4th in the 2019 G1 Caulfield Guineas and first time he’s been seen since. Trialed like a bomb and rattled home his L600m of 33.99, running past every horse bar the $1.45 winner. This is a good horse!

ULYSSES very well rated and all honours. JUVENTUS landed in the 1/1 and every chance, just lacks the killer punch. BRUTALITY was enormous from the rear. Became detached from the field and home in a clear RF L600m. Getting that far back isn’t something you love to see from a betting perspective.

Tough win from KING OF HASTINGS. Three wide no cover, on speed, top weight, yet still too good. All honours. BIG PARADE again enigmatic, but excuses. Missed the start and burned some fuel early to find the front. A hard horse to catch, makes betting with him in the race quite difficult! BANDERSNATCH back in trip after a forgive run, he’s better at 1400m in my opinion. HANDSPUN was poor.

KISS THE BRIDE very good with his 61kg. Covered ground without cover for the first 600m, then grinded home well. He will peak 4th up. Staying at 1800m was the slight query on SACRAMENTO, but the strong speed set up top suited and in typical stable fashion, he was very tough and refused to lose when NEW ARRANGEMENT ranged up and had every chance. CALIFORNIA LONGBOW can win a race this prep. Went 14-1800m 2nd up off 5 weeks and was strong late in a fast race. 2000m+ yes.

MORE PROPHETS settled handier than usual, and unfortunately that came in a race where they went a good clip early. That took away some of her finish and she was out toughed on the line by BETCHA FLYING, who ran the F L200m OTR in 12.29, highlighting the strong early tempo. Won’t drop off.
